South Asian Women Development Forum organized a press meet to brief about the Women Entrepreneurs Green Industrial Park (WEGrIP). President Ms. Pramila Acharya Rijal expressed gratitude to Nepal government for renaming the ongoing Industrial Village into Women Entreprenuers Green Industrial Park in Kavre and urged the government to formulate a law in the form of the WEGrIP Act for establishing similar parks in six other provinces. Ms. Sharada Rijal, Chair – WEGrIP highlighted sustainable features of the park and creation of direct and indirect job opportunities for women SMEs. Mr. Mahesh Kharel, Mayor of Panchkhal Municipality shared his insights on how this initiative can contribute to the advancement of women entrepreneurship and support economic growth in Panchkhal. Similarly, Ms. Yankila Sherpa, Member of Parliament, Bagmati Province, addressed significance of media's role in promoting this landmark project and concluding the press meet Ms. Ashrayata Karki Chaudhary, SAWDF Board Member thanked the media for their active presence in a large number of 50 TV networks and national dailies.
