South Asian Women Development Forum (SAWDF) participated in the Regional Forum on Women’s Entrepreneurship, held at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok, Thailand on May 9, 2024. Representing SAWDF, President Ms. Pramila Acharya Rijal contributed as a panelist on the 'Policy and Governance Environment' session, sharing her expertise on shaping inclusive ecosystems for women-led businesses. Similarly, SAWDF Treasurer Ms. Sharada Rijal offered compelling insights during the 'ICT and Business Skills Development' panel, highlighting the role of digital literacy and technology in empowering women entrepreneurs.
The forum provided a vibrant platform, bringing together representatives from ministries responsible for SME development, women’s empowerment, planning, trade, and investment across Asia-Pacific. It also engaged women entrepreneurs, associations, UN agencies, private sector leaders, and academic institutions, all unified by the goal of advancing women's economic participation and entrepreneurship.
