South Asian Women Development Forum (SAWDF) signed the letter of intent (LoI) with International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) on 8th March 2017, concerning a study and publication of the book- “Reflections on Policies for Women Small and Medium Entrepreneurs: Status, Challenges, and Opportunities in Hindu Kush Himalayas and the SAARC Region”.
The book was launched at the “International Women Entrepreneurs Summit, 2018”, on 3rd September 2018 by Rt. Honorable Vice President, Mr. Nanda Bahadur Pun. The book highlights the deep-rooted and ubiquitous gender gaps in the economic sphere despite the economic significance of women SMEs. The book advocates the need for mapping and data collection of women SMES of the SAARC region as the way forward.
