SAWDF in partnership with Athena International launched the Athena Global Leadership Award event, during the International Women Entrepreneurs Summit- 2019 on 13th September 2019. The Athena Global Leadership Award is a highly recognized citation of Athena International. Since its inception in 1982, Athena International has empowered and recognized over 7000 women globally. This year, the Athena Global leadership Awards and Certificate of Excellence was introduced for the first time in Nepal- in fact for the first time in South Asia. Altogether 17 organizations and individual women entrepreneurs of the SAARC region were honored with the Athena Certificate of Excellence and Athena Global Leadership Award.
